THE PERSON BEHIND THE CONCEPT

Credentials

Who created this educational concept, and what sources support it?

An educational idea shaped by curiosity

The Solar System Trail is an independent concept created by Steve Cimolino to make the distances between the Sun and planets easier to understand. It can be adapted to a park, town, school or indoor space.

Steve is an author and amateur astronomy enthusiast, and a member of AAL, Luxembourg’s amateur astronomers’ association. The project reflects his interest in public learning and uses established astronomical data.

Professional background

Steve holds the Manager of Insurance qualification, Master’s level 7, from ESA — École Supérieure d’Assurances in Paris. He has worked in insurance for more than twenty years and is registered with Luxembourg’s Commissariat aux Assurances (agency 2019AC013; agent Steve Cimolino 2005AG045).

These are professional qualifications, not an astronomy degree. The Solar System Trail is a personal educational initiative, and its scientific information is presented with sources.

A LOCAL PROJECT IN LUXEMBOURG

One local possibility: Kirchberg

The general concept remains independent and can be reused elsewhere. A separate initiative explores a Solar System installation in Kirchberg, Luxembourg City.
